The Virgin Mary

Virgin Mary and Christmas Tree

Feeling peaked this Advent season? An unexpected side effect of holiday feasting is, for me at least, the odd craving for something healthy. Turn to the Virgin.

  • Ice
  • Low sodium tomato juice
  • A dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • A sprinkle of cayenne pepper
  • Smoked salt to taste
  • A squeeze of lemon

This is actually a favorite of mine year round.  A little extra cayenne is especially welcome for head-cold sufferers. And if you decided to make this a Bloody Mary, I don’t think anyone would judge you for it.

Enjoy!
